Network Monetization guides the management of our advertising inventory by informing demand generation, positioning & pricing of ad offerings, and supply procurement & production decisions based on the yield economics of the Microsoft network. As part of the Network Management team, Network Monetization works closely with the broader APS organization as well as the C&O and Audience teams.
The Sr. Manager/Director of Supply and Demand Management is responsible for guiding the network to an appropriate balance of advertising assets through both policy-setting and analysis related to market and inventory opportunities, and coordination with partner teams to inform execution.
Responsibilities:
• Evolving the strategy for targeting specific verticals and segments as monetization pillars of our network across multiple ad offerings and platforms based on an understanding of opportunities for both demand generation and supply development
• Developing policies to guide evaluation of business development, content, and reseller monetization opportunities
• Analyzing network demand requirements to inform Microsoft Media Network advertiser-side focus
• Analyzing network inventory needs to
• Provide guidance to the Microsoft Media Network procurement team
• Inform self-serve publisher inventory procurement
Coordinating communication and interaction between the advertiser and publisher facing teams in APS
Qualifications:
• Analytic Capability – Lead the development of quantitative methodologies to generate insights; ask the right questions to probe and refine recommendations
• Organizational Agility – Proactively work with internal partners across a matrixed organization to drive results for key initiatives
• Management Skills – Lead and develop high performing teams; guide them to impactfully and efficiently interact with business partners across APS
Experience:
• Possess at least 10 years of experience in business analysis and management, product management, program management and/or product marketing.
• The ideal candidate should have experience with online advertising (particularly with ad networks), yield management, and a degree in a technical discipline.
• BA/BS required; advanced degree preferred.
