JOB DESCRIPTION
Northrop Grumman is seeking an experienced, senior level Contract Administrator within the Health Information Technology Programs Business Unit based in the Atlanta, GA office by providing contracts administration support. This position will be a direct report to the Contracts Manager and will have daily interface with Customers, Program Management, Operating Unit and Division Management Team, and possibly others. Experience in the following areas is required:- In-depth knowledge of general and corporate business practices, government, commercial, and international contracting regulations and principles and accounting and finance principles. Candidate must understand the broader impact of work on the company, be able to resolve complex contracts or pricing issues. Candidate will have the following responsibilities: administers, extends, negotiates and terminates standard and nonstandard contracts. Conducts proposal preparation, contract negotiation, contract administration, and customer contact activities to provide for proper contract acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer specifications. Additional responsibilities will include contract closeouts and OCI reviews and coordination. Must have excellent analytical and mathematical skills, excellent written and oral communication skills and negotiation skills and strong interpersonal skills. Proficient use of computer spreadsheet applications, e-mail, Internet, and Microsoft Office programs. Candidate will be expected to be able to develop solutions to problems of unusual complexity requiring a high degree of ingenuity and creativity; Develop advanced concepts, techniques, and standards. Demonstrate skills and ability to analyze and develop innovative solutions to complex problems. Able to communicate effectively at the highest levels. Work under consultative direction toward long-range goals and objectives; be an independent, self-starter, and serve as a prime consultant for the organization on highly significant matters relating to policies, programs, capabilities, and long-range goals and objectives. College degree in Business or Finance plus 8-10+ years experience in increasingly more complex contract actions required. 15+ years of work experience.
