BAMS Air Vehicle SW IPT is a management position that is responsible for the full SW development lifecycle for IMMC and VTC. The manager is also responsible for the reverse engineering effort and the DO-178B compliance effort. This position reports to the BAMS Air Vehicle IPT. The manager is also responsible for the cost, schedule and performance of the AV IPT software (IMMC and VTC) developments for the BAMS program. General responsibilities include maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction, addressing corrective actions in timely manner and managing budget, schedule, SOW, risks, and technical issues. This manager will represent the BAMS AV IPT on SW change boards, etc. The SW manager is also responsible for coordinating with HALE program IMMC and VTC software to the extent practical, as directed by the BAMS program. Basic Qualifications: BS in Engineering (Computer Science or related technical field) 10 years of industry experience. Knowledge of EVMS and current SW development best practices. The candidate must possess good written and oral communication skills. Good leadership and interpersonal skills. The ability to obtain a Secret Security Clearance is required. Preferred Qualifications: Prior IPT/Management leadership experience. Experience with Unmanned Systems, DO-178B, IEEE 12207, MIL-STD-498 or equivalent, EVMS, CMM/CMMI, ISO -9000 and/or other IEEE software engineering improvement initiatives. MS degree.
