Northrop Grumman Information Systems sector is seeking an IT Senior Consultant V to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals in defining the future. This position will be located in Annapolis Junction, MD. The qualified applicant will become part of Northrop Grummans AXISS Program. The ITSC V supporting the Networks Productization team is tasked with integration testing, productization, and Tier III support for the daily-reporting of network trafficking solutions supporting the enterprise network infrastructure (WAN, CAN, LAN, network boundaries, supporting monitoring and management tools, et al). Roles and Responsibilities: Perform as a consultant on a team of highly talented network professionals working in a leading edge IP network environment. Provide highly technical and specialized engineering skills and experience in the productization of solutions which require MPLS and QoS. Install, configure, test and integrate the fully developed secure network solutions, which includes the as-is environment, the new releases for these solutions, and new hardware platforms and software. Provide Tier III support for solutions using MPLS and QoS to include troubleshooting, tracking, and resolution of day-to-day software/hardware issues escalated from Tier II support groups. Create and update documentation, including, but not exclusive to, test plans, test procedures, test scenarios, tech notes and test results, implementation plans, and certification and accreditation documentation. Interface successfully with the customer and internal and external team members and stakeholders. Work across multiple projects, tasks, deliverables and functions simultaneously and prioritize tasks. Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, the candidate must minimally meet the education, knowledge, skills, and abilities listed below. Education and experience: MS/MA plus 6 years experience; BS/BA plus 8 years of experience; High School Diploma plus 12 years experience. Demonstrated IP skills, knowledge, and experience in complex classified network environments using multiple network technologies, including routers, switches, and encryption technologies. Demonstrated experience configuring and installing software on UNIX (preferably Solaris and Linux) and Windows platforms and performing systems management tasks. Demonstrated configuration, testing, integration, and troubleshooting skills in complex network environments using MPLS and QoS for traffic engineering and prioritization. Must have strong written and oral communication skills and experience. Specific Experience: Knowledge and experience with MetaSolv MPLS (IPSA,) QoS, CoS, and IPVPN; managed VPN networks, QoS protocols, and ATM networks; network technologies, such as Cisco, Foundry, Nortel, and Juniper; and monitoring, trending and alerting applications such as HP OpenView. *** Security Prerequisite: TS/SCI with Poly ***
