Job Description: Senior level Mechanical Engineer responsible to plan, develop and implement innovative design solutions for military electro-optical systems, both current development programs and future product architecture. The candidate must have a strong understanding of thermal system design, optical systems, electronic packaging, tolerance and design optimization. Ansys FEA experience including transient thermal analysis. Thorough knowledge of ASME Y14.5; Extensive Military/DoD experience; familiarity with military specifications, standards, statements of work and proposals. Experience in tight tolerance optical alignment, stable operation over military temperature/vibration environment, <100 microradian stability. Ability to develop detailed analytical models, spreadsheets, and hand analysis. Hands-on lab experience is also a plus. Strong Leadership and communication skills, ability to develop budgets, maintain schedules and lead design tasks. Education Requirements: 14 Years with BSME; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD.
