Northrop Grummans Cyber and SIGINT Systems organization sites, with locations in Sacramento and San Jose, is a premier supplier of airborne reconnaissance systems, strategic signal processing systems, intelligence analyses, and telecommunication system products, technologies and services for national security, defense, public sector, and commercial customers. The Sacramento, California location is seeking a Production Manager. Successful candidate will manage a large production team, responsible for the successful delivery of millions of dollars of hardware monthly. This effort will start with the production planning leading to the robust multi year production effort. Responsible for Production Program Execution in material planning, assembly and test, light manufacturing, warehouse operations, and system sell-off activities. Must be team oriented, and able to effectively multi-task competing priorities and schedules. Experience moving products from engineering to production, with hands-on experience using and tailoring an enterprise-wide MRP (SAP) system. Must be knowledgeable about government procurement policies governed by FAR, and the complete lifecycle from contract award to DD250 sell-off. Candidates are required to have been involved and have managed hardware integration facilities. The following are the basic qualifications for this position: BS in engineering disciplines, 15+ years of related experience, years experience may be substituted for degree requirement Supplier Management as it relates to site operations and subcontractors Working knowledge of financial management including project control and indirect budgets Proven track record of leadership and teamwork skills and staff supervisory/management experience Strong problem solving and analytical capabilities Ability to effectively influence in the absence of in-line authority Excellent written and oral communications skills Must possess prior experience in similar managerial positions interaction with vendors/subcontractors Must have previous experience with DOD contracts Must have demonstrated ability to create, track and meet schedules Experience with test automation and complex system integration Must be clearable to the SCI level on the program Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information Experience is the following areas is an asset: Comprehensive knowledge of general and Northrop Grumman Mission Systems business practices and tools.
