Xinetics, a leading manufacturer of advanced products for use in high-performance optical systems, is seeking a Senior-Level Program Manager. We are looking for an experienced program manager who will lead a highly technical and engineering development program for large mirrors for space systems. Successful completion of this program has excellent potential for follow-on programs. Responsibilities will be to successfully manage the cost, schedule, risks, contractual, and technical performance of the program. This includes maintaining and developing program resource loaded networks and establishing staffing profiles and cost estimates; controlling efforts within the statement of work and identifying new efforts; coordinating the preparation of specifications, statements of work, and proposals as appropriate; program execution within the contractual and financial conditions of the contract; participating in the negotiation of the contract, risks, and contract changes; acting as primary customer interface for technical and programmatic discussions; identifying program problems and driving solutions. Responsibilities also include supervising the current program team and providing technical direction. Applicants MUST have a minimum of ten years experience managing a highly technical project which has delivered critical/complex hardware to customers in the space industry through production, test, and delivery; in-depth knowledge of adaptive optical design, systems, testing, and performance; ability to understand manufacturing processes; experience and knowledge of ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance) is highly desirable. The ability to understand the technology and help expand current efforts or develop new business opportunities is a plus. A Bachelors Degree in an Engineering Discipline is required; M.S. is preferred. Applicant must have, or be able to attain, a Top Secret Clearance. Security Clearance Required.
