JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY: 

The Operating Partner will have strong financial acumen, preferably with experience at a Big 4 accounting firm in an audit capacity,  a high degree of attention to detail and demonstrate the ability to quickly understand the primary drivers of a variety of businesses. The Operating Partner will both oversee portfolio operations for a successful private equity fund, and provide support and guidance to company executives. Strong knowledge of financial reporting and statutory compliance issues is required. The ideal candidate will have managed both an operations and finance department and have strong communications skills. The Operating Partner is NOT a consultant but is goal oriented and willing to accept difficult challenges in high pressure situations. Additionally the candidate must show a willingness to work a flexible schedule that may include frequent travel throughout North America.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

-Demonstrate a high level of personal integrity

-Contribute to the pre-acquisition due diligence team and provide detailed and insightful analysis of the primary risks and opportunities of a target company. Establish a relationship with management and gain their confidence in order to facilitate the deal

-Be prepared to act as interim CEO / CFO

-Provide general management experience with a record of achieving and maintaining profitability in difficult operating environments.  Must have a bias toward hands on management and a sense of urgency;

-Demonstrate strong leadership and communication skills and the ability to motivate teams while managing several projects

-Develop and implement the strategic goals of the organization and provide direction and leadership while executing a complex capital and operational restructuring

-Oversee company operations to insure production efficiency, product and service quality, and cost effective management of resources

-Manage detailed daily weekly and monthly reporting packages to include planning, sourcing and production metrics, cash and collateral base forecasts, and financial statements. Ability to analyze and interpret complex financial data is critical.

-Oversee complex loan agreements and other financing instruments
